Ring Size Guide

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

There are a few simple ways to find your ring size accurately. These methods give a close estimate and work well if you prefer measuring at home.

String or Paper Strip Method
Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around the base of your finger. Mark where it overlaps, then measure the length in millimeters. Compare the measurement with the size chart below.

Using an Existing Ring
Place a ring that already fits you on a flat surface and measure the inner diameter from edge to edge. Match the measurement to the chart.

Recommended App Method
You can also measure your ring size using the Ring Sizer by Jason Withers app, which gives highly accurate results using your phone. Follow the app’s instructions for the best accuracy.

DIY Paper Ring Sizer
Cut a narrow strip of paper, wrap it around your finger like a ring, and mark where it meets. Measure the strip and compare it with the chart.

General Tips
Finger size may slightly change based on temperature, time of day, and hydration. Measure at room temperature, preferably at the end of the day. If you fall between two sizes, choosing the larger size usually offers a more comfortable fit.

Expert Tips for Accurate Sizing

  1. Measure your finger at the end of the day when it’s at its natural size.
  2. Avoid measuring when hands are cold, as fingers tend to be smaller.
  3. Your dominant hand may be slightly larger, measure the finger you want to wear the ring on.
  4. If buying a thicker band, consider going up one size for comfort.
When unsure, it’s always safe to choose the larger size.
